2007 Edison Marching Eagles Pre-Season

 

        Here it is April and preparations are already underway for the 2007 Marching season. USSBA created a new rule (TOB had to also) and Edison now has a III Open classification. A preliminary calendar of all Marching events has been created and is available as a pdf document.

        Rookie Camp is August 8-10 with two sections daily, one from 8am to 12 noon and another from 1pm to 3pm. Band Camp for all marchers starts the following week and will run August 13-17 and 20-24 with three sections daily: 8am -12 noon, 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. Percussion and Colorguard times may vary, TBA. All of these dates are MANDATORY, NO EXCEPTIONS.

        Starting September 4th, 2007, weekly rehearsals will also be held with full band rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays and sectionals on Wednesday or as determined by the section leaders.

        All of these events are already blocked out on the calendar. The times will be filled in as they become available. Remember by clicking on the month ('August 2007', 'September 2007', etc you can get the month on a single page for printing). Missing from the calendar right now are all Home football games and Homecoming. All HOME football games, regular season and play-off, are MANDETORY. A pep band will be sent to all AWAY play-off football games which are optional.

        Summer Packets are being distributed this year via email through the students. More information on the Summer Packets and a link to download them from this web site can be found on the marching page.

        The menus for this year's Marching Band Camp dinners have been selected and are outlined below. We have tried to address most dietary concerns. If there is anything that we missed, please contact the EBPO President, John Hanks, at EBPOPresident@edisonband.com. Please note that this year, EBPO is only providing dinner on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Other arrangement must be made for your students on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

        We thought people should know where each of the meals came from. Each of the restaurants below has given us discounts on our purchases and should be considered 'Friends for Edison Marching Band'.
