These are the various committees that are needed to run the Bands throughout the entire year. If you are interested in participating on one of the committees, please sign up. If you want to be the Chair of a committee, sign up for that.
For those committees that do not have a designated Chair, the Board will organize the first meeting and the members of the committee can decide how they want to organize themselves to communicate with the board.
For the 2007-2008 year, Mr. Richards wants to try to do as much as possible electronically. The web site and electronic forms like this will be the primary means of communications and signup for events.

 
 
 
 
 
Chaperones Uniforms
Chaperones provide adult oversight for the various band related events. These include home football games, Marching Competitions and Pep Band events (away football playoffs). Signup lists like this will be created for each event. This committee is responsible for the fitting, distribution and collection of Marching Band uniforms and the gowns and tuxes for the Symphonic Band.

First Aid Pit Crew
Having First Aiders available for Football games, competitions and Band Camp is crucial for the safety of our children. People on this committee will take turns being the designated First Aider for the various events. Signup lists like this will be created listing each event. These people will help with the loading and unloading of the trailer, setup of the Pit Carts and help on the field with the Pit equipment. Responsibilities can range from driving the trailers to events, to helping roll a marimba on to the field. Some people will be needed in addition to Chaperones for home football games and competitions (sign up for both). Signup lists like this will be created for each event.
We have two trailers that we take to most events. If you are interested in pulling either trailer, put '(trailer)' after your name.

Band Camp Fundraising
Band Camp does not run itself and volunteers are needed to help with the various things that need to be done. If you will, or can, have time during the day to help with Band Camp, please sign up. Every dollar raised by the students via fundraising is money that does not have to come out of a parent's pocket. We have a number of established fundraisers that just need a person to coordinate them (coffee sales, Fruit and Cheesecake, Crest Cards, etc). Plus we are always looking for more! Members of this committee will help coordinate our fundraisers. This includes Band T-shirt and jacket sales.

Banquet Catering
The band has two banquets during the year: one in the Fall at the end of Marching Season and the other in the spring where letters and other awards are presented. Members of this committee will help plan the banquet, setup the room and coordinate food with the Catering committee. This committee will help coordinate food for the various band events. This includes Parents Night during Band Camp, the two banquets and at least one meal on each of the competition dates.
