Edison Band Parent Organization

Fundraisers

Tag Day:   Tag Day was held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on September 9, 2006 and then from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on September 10, 2006.   This is the only fundraising event in which students are the only ones who can earn fundraising credits for their accounts, but we need parents to volunteer to help make this a success .   Students may participate in all 9 hours of fundraising or as little as 3 hours.  Students that worked for all 9 hours will earn approximately $230.00 (final numbers are not in yet).  As you can see, this event is a great way for your student to work off, in a very short time I might add, a major portion of their Band Program financial obligation.  As for parent volunteer work, help is needed in driving the kids around, planning and administering this event, and encouraging the kids to get out there.  Signup for Tag Day on the Tag Day list.

Coffee Sales:   We have started our first coffee sale.   The coffee sales forms will be available in the Band Room for the students to pick up.   Parents can also sell coffee at work and help their Band Program student meet their fundraising financial obligation.   With this fundraiser, students earn 40% of their sales as credit for their accounts.   The Sale will run from November 27th-December 6th and the coffee will be available for pick up in December 20th for delivery.   For more information contact Althea Huggins at mdhuggins@cox.net The coffee sales form is now available for download as either a Word or PDF file.  

Fall Fruit and Cheesecake Sale:   The Fall Fruit and Cheesecake Sale is a fundraising event in which student and parents alike have the opportunity to earn credit for their band program accounts.   The sale runs through the month of October with the delivery of the fruit and cheesecakes occurring the week before Thanksgiving.   Under this fundraising event, students earn roughly 40% of their sales of oranges, grapefruit, tangelos, and various flavors of cheesecakes.   In early October, the students will be provided a sales package and further information about this fundraising event.   For more information, please contact Becky Belkoski at beckybel@aol.com.

Crest Cleaner Card Sales:   For this fundraiser, students and parents alike have the ability to earn $20.00 credit for their band program student accounts for each crest cleaner discount card they sell.   Crest Cleaners has provided us with Crest Cleaner discount cards to sell for $25.00 each at no cost to the EBPO and with all profits going to the organization.   If you're interest in this fundraiser, please contact Corinne Weidenthal at dcandjsmith@yahoo.com .

Car Washes:   The EBPO sponsors car washes as another means to raise funds to support our Edison Band Program.   Students and parents alike can earn credits for the student band program accounts based on the hours worked, to the quarter hour.   The amount of credit will vary from car wash to car wash in that the hour credit is figured based on the number of all hours worked by each individual divided into the amount earned at that particular car wash.   At this time, no car washes are scheduled.
