About Thomas Edison Bands

       Located in Alexandria, Virginia, Thomas A. Edison High School is home to one of the most vibrant high school band programs in the state.  Our students enjoy unparalleled support from parents, school administration, and the community.  In fact, Fairfax County has recently been cited by the Music Educators National Association as one of the top 100 communities in America for support of music education.

       Edison High School supports two concert bands, a percussion ensemble, an indoor drumline, an indoor colorguard, as well as one of the premiere marching bands on the east coast.  All of the Edison Bands have a proud tradition of excellence and achievement.  The success of our program lies in the determination, hard work, and talent of our students, parents and staff.  Our students learn that excellence is not just a final goal, but a continual pursuit.  We believe in stepping out and making good things happen. We subscribe to the belief that we are good and getting better, but that the best is yet to come.

       If you are new to the Thomas Edison Bands, we welcome you to an exciting experience.  If you are a “vet,” welcome back!  Together we will strive to make each year better than the last!
