In only its second year in competition, Thomas Edison Indoor Percussion has already distinguished itself as one of the finest indoor drumlines in the country. Made up of percussionists and concert ensemble members from across the Edison Band program, the line competes locally in the Atlantic Indoor Association (AIA) circuit, and internationally in the Winter Guard International (WGI) circuit. Membership is by audition only, and is open to all students currently enrolled at Edison High School. Auditions are held in early to mid-November. The competitive season runs from late January to early April.
Awards for Thomas Edison Indoor Percussion in 2005 include First Place at the Roebuck, South Carolina WGI Regional (Scholastic A), First Place in AIA (Scholastic A) Final Competition, and 14th place at the WGI (Scholastic A) World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.
