Edison Marching Eagles

 

        The Edison High school "Marching Eagles," comprised of band, colorguard, and percussion students from across the school community, has a proud tradition of excellence and achievement. The band is recognized as one of the finest marching programs of its size on the east coast, and is currently ranked among the elite "Top 10" Group II bands in the Tournament of Bands (TOB) marching band circuit.

        The Marching Eagles are the 8 time TOB Chapter 12, Group II Champions, and have received 5 bronze and 2 silver medals at the TOB Atlantic Coast Championships. Locally, the band performs at all home Edison football games, and in selected exhibitions throughout Virginia. Many of the student musicians within the band have received individual honors at the local, regional, state, and national level. In 2004 the band was recognized by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for excellence in musical performance. The Marching Eagles has been featured on the Fox 5 morning news, and has appeared twice on Fairfax County Public Schools Red Apple 21.
